How Colours helps kids find, sort, and mix paints
A parent guide to Tomorrow Kid’s Colours—Learn → Find → Sort, three curriculum stages, Mixing Lab free play, offline bundle, and stars that feed the Sticker Book.
What Colours is for
Tomorrow Kid’s Colours vertical is fully offline colour learning. The Home tile calls it “Find, sort and mix them”—the rainbow bento on Home—with a quiet magenta chrome so the UI never fights the colour targets kids are looking at.
Learn → Find → Sort
Each colour can run as a guided Play all path, or parents can jump with mode chips:
- Learn — meet the colour with real-world emoji objects and spoken words (no star grade)
- Find — tap the matching colour among options
- Sort — put objects into the right colour homes
Find and Sort award stars with the same mistake bands used in Tracing. Learn alone stays ungraded so first exposure stays playful.
Three stages, eleven colours
Bundled curriculum walks kids through named stages:
- First colours — Red, Yellow, Blue, Green
- Mixing colours — Orange, Purple, Pink
- Everyday colours — Brown, Black, White, Grey
Everything ships on-device, so travel days and weak Wi‑Fi still get a full colour lesson.
Mixing Lab
The signature Mixing Lab is free play—pick two paints from red, yellow, blue, white, and black, watch the blend, and learn the result. There is no fail state: red + yellow becomes orange, blue + yellow becomes green, and so on. Use it as kitchen-table science after a Find/Sort round, not as a graded quiz. Stars and the Sticker Book
Stars from Find and Sort flow into the shared Sticker Book economy. Kids still recognise the reward language while colour vocabulary grows.
A calm way to introduce it at home
- Open Colours from Home (the rainbow tile).
- Start on First colours with Learn for one primary—name it out loud (“this is red”).
- Switch the chip to Find, then Sort, and celebrate the stars.
- On another day, open Mixing Lab and mix two paints together—ask “what colour did we make?”
What to try next
Keep Learn → Find → Sort as the spine for each new colour. Move into Mixing colours and Everyday colours when First colours feels easy, and keep Mixing Lab as the joyful encore. Stars still feed the Sticker Book, so the reward language stays familiar while colour sense grows offline.
