How OceanTree Pro unlocks premium play (with a parent math gate)
A parent guide to Tomorrow Kid’s OceanTree Pro—Pro locks, the math challenge before the paywall, monthly vs yearly, Restore, and what unlimited flashcards and choice exercises mean.
What OceanTree Pro is for
Tomorrow Kid keeps plenty of free play on Home. Premium decks, quizzes, stories, Logic worlds, and some exercise lists can show an isPro lock. When a free family taps a locked item, the app asks a short parent math challenge first, then opens the OceanTree Pro paywall—so kids cannot casually subscribe.
The paywall headline is Unlock Unlimited Exercies (the in-app spelling). Benefits listed today:
- Unlimited access to all flashcard exercises
- Unlimited access to all choice-question exercises
- Access to all new regularly updated exercises
Plans are Monthly and Yearly (yearly is selected by default and shows a SAVE 19% badge). Prices come from the App Store / RevenueCat—this guide does not invent dollar amounts. Tap Continue to purchase the selected plan, or Restore purchases if you already subscribed on another device. More runs the parent math gate again, then shows subscription info (payment, auto-renew, manage) plus Privacy and Terms links.
Entitlement is RevenueCat’s pro flag (SubscriptionManager.isPro). When Pro is active, the paywall dismisses and locks clear.
How the unlock flow works
- Tap a Pro-locked item in Flashcards, Quizzes, Stories, Logic Lab, or Learn & Play
- Complete the parental math challenge (
ParentalMathChallengeSheet) when the entry point requires it - Review benefits, choose Monthly or Yearly, then Continue—or dismiss with the × if you are only exploring
- Use Restore purchases after a reinstall or device change
- Open More only when you need subscription details; expect another parent math gate first
Free play, Daily Goal, My Progress, and the Sticker Book still work without Pro. Pro expands the library; it does not replace the habit or reward layers.
A calm way to introduce it at home
- Let your child finish a free activity first so Home still feels playful.
- When you hit a lock, open the paywall yourself after the math gate—read the benefits aloud once.
- Prefer Yearly only if you already plan to stay for months; otherwise Monthly is fine. Check live App Store prices in the sheet.
- If you already paid, try Restore purchases before buying again.
- Close the sheet if you are not ready—locks stay; free tiles stay open.
What to try next
Treat Pro as a parent decision after you have seen which verticals your child returns to. Pair it with My Progress for habit context and Parent Notes when coaching a new exercise.
