How Again & Again teaches kids to say it once and do it many times

What Again & Again is for

Tomorrow Kid’s Again & Again world is Logic Lab’s repeat-block puzzle (robot_repeat). Kids use the same robot plan/run canvas as Robot Walk—but with too few slots. They fold a long walk into an orange repeat bracket: say the steps once, pick a count, close with done, then press ▶. That is loops without typed code.

Parent tip: say “say it once, do it many times” once before they play. The habit is noticing when the same steps happen again and saying them once—not racing to fill every slot.

Where it lives

1. Confirm the child’s age band reaches 7+ so Logic Lab (and Again & Again) appear on Home
2. Open Logic Lab and tap the Again & Again world (subtitle: “Say it once, do it many times — the repeat block”; kid chip: Repeat blocks)
3. Notice the scarce slots, open the orange repeat bracket, pick a count, close with done, then press ▶
4. Stars and finish copy reuse the robot-path shell (“Perfect plan!” / “could a repeat make it shorter?”); the level never locks

Play runs in the shared RobotPathGameView with allowsRepeat: true:

Why repeating matters (no typed code)

Again & Again is the loop lesson on the Robot Walk canvas: compress a plan so the robot still reaches the star. Parents can name that habit—“repeating”—without saying “loop” or “for-loop.” Kids discover it when slots run out, or when finish copy asks whether a repeat would make the plan shorter.

A calm way to introduce it at home

1. Confirm age band 7+ and clear one Robot Walk board first so the plan → ▶ canvas feels familiar.
2. Open Again & Again, point at the scarce slots, and narrate “we can’t fit every step—so say the pattern once.”
3. Open the orange repeat bracket together, pick a small count, close with done, and press ▶.
4. Let them finish one board—celebrate the stars even if the first try needed a retry.
5. On a later session, ask “could a repeat make it shorter?” and stop after one run.
