How Today’s puzzle gives every family the same Logic Lab board
A parent guide to Tomorrow Kid’s Home Today’s puzzle card—date-seeded Robot Walk or Pixel Painter, calm done state, and how it differs from Daily Goal.
What Today’s puzzle is for
Tomorrow Kid’s Today’s puzzle is the gold Logic Lab card on Home—one shared board for the calendar day. It is not the Daily Goal streak ring and not a world-ladder level. When Logic is enabled and the child’s age band is 7+, Home shows the card above the Sticker Book so families can solve the same challenge together.
Parent tip: treat it as a breakfast or after-school ritual. Say “same puzzle on every device today” so siblings on different phones still talk about one board.
Where it lives
- Confirm the child’s age band is 7+ and Logic Lab is visible on Home (Home Activities can show or hide Logic)
- Look for the gold Today’s puzzle card above the Sticker Book (

LogicPlayViewshell with a Today label—no “next level” ladder - After a finish, the card flips to a calm done state (“Come back tomorrow for a new one”)

How the daily board is chosen
The app builds one board per calendar day from the date string (LogicContentStore.dailyPuzzle()). Every family device that opens Tomorrow Kid on that day gets the same puzzle—handy for talking about it at the table.
The day hash alternates two medium-difficulty types:
- Robot Walk (
robotPath) — plan the steps, then press ▶ (world deep-dive: Robot Path guide) - Pixel Painter — number pictures / paint-by-codes (world deep-dive: Pixel Painter guide)
Progress is keyed as daily:<day>. Completing today’s board marks that key done; the card stops asking for a second run. Stars from the finish still feed the familiar Sticker Book economy.
How it differs from nearby habits
- Daily Goal / My Progress — three different Home activities and streak chips; not one Logic board (habit guide)
- Logic Lab world ladders — multi-level worlds you climb over days; Today’s puzzle is a single shared daily card

A calm way to introduce it at home
- Sit together on Home and point at the gold Today’s puzzle card before opening Logic Lab worlds.
- Finish the board once—or pause after understanding whether it is Robot Walk or Pixel Painter today.
- Celebrate the done state and leave the card alone until tomorrow.
- Optionally open one short world level later in the week if they want more practice.
